Set your books down for a while and discover the many services and activities available to you. The opportunities inside are almost limitless! The Union is the place where friends meet to enjoy the various facilities, relax in a quiet spot or just have fun.
The Union thrives on campus involvement. Activities, events, and services open to all include a variety of dining options, the Information Desk, The Round Table, study lounges, meeting rooms, lounges, computer lab, and a host of special events in the Great Hall.
The Union is about people, and some of VU's most active groups call the Union home. Organizations such as Union Board, Student Senate, and the Office of Volunteer Programs offer students the opportunity to be involved in campus activities and community service. Our offices provide work space for additional student organizations as well. The activities in the Union are extensive and diverse. Under one roof you will find lectures, coffeehouses and the annual Jazz Festival. Trips from the Union will take you to Chicago and beyond for sporting events, plays and musicals, spring break trips, and backpacking in the Smoky Mountains.
Play pool or try out the latest video games in The Rack Games Area. Eat in the attractive seating area in Jester's or enjoy the view of the construction of the new Christopher Center for Library and Information Resources next to the Union Patio. Rent a tent, cross country skis, or a bike at the Outdoor Recreation Center and enjoy the great outdoors.
Meeting student needs is a top priority. Stop in soon and find out what awaits you. The Union is your center for University activities and services. The only way to know is to visit. The doors are open seven days a week and the Study Lounge and Computer Lab are open all night!
