As a national, independent Lutheran university, worship life is integral to the spirit of Valpo. Opportunities for spiritual growth are rich and varied.
While Lutherans comprise the largest percentage of any religious denomination on campus at more than 30 percent, there are many differing beliefs and faiths present at Valpo. One-fourth of our students are Catholic, while others practice various Protestant faiths, along with Judaism, Buddhism, Islam, and more.
Freedom and a spirit of inquiry in the Lutheran tradition promote the pursuit of truth, along with thoughtfully engaging those of other faiths and backgrounds.
