Jason Hayward (1999) holds a joint faculty appointment at the University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. His research interests are radiation detection, measurement, and imaging for applications in nuclear security and safeguards. He is married to Shannon Falls (1996 & 1997) and has two daughters, Hannah and Eliana.

Danielle Boyd Harlow (1996) is an assistant professor of science education at the University of California Santa Barbara. Her primary research interest is in how teachers develop knowledge to teach science through inquiry and the role of creativity in the teaching and learning of science.

Aaron Reinhard (2003) is a post-doctoral research associate at Penn State University. He is studying the dynamics of cold bosons in optical lattices and is particularly interested in applications to quantum chaos. He is married to Sarah (Wittrock) Reinhard (2003).

Amber Schober (2002) is currently teaching high school physics at Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana. She was also recently inducted into the VU Athetics Hall of Fame.

Dr. Lindsey Hillesheim (1999) is a Staff Scientist at Strategic Analysis, Inc. where she provides scientific and technical expertise to program managers at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). In the course of her job, she works with scientists doing cutting edge, game-changing research.

Andrew Makowski (1999) is an attending Emergency Medicine physician, working primarily in Milwaukee, WI, but also around the country as an independent contractor. He is interested in Aerospace Medicine and Bioethics, serving as a consultant to NASA and pursuing a MA in Bioethics from Loyola University Chicago.

Greg Grossart (1996) is an actuarial consultant at Mercer. He specializes in postretirement healthcare and pension plans for corporations, utilities, and governmentals. He is married to Elizabeth Tatro (1997) and enjoys spending his non-work time playing in the outdoors, serving on boards, or working with high school youth at church.

After graduating in 1983, Dave Baran attended Northwestern University and received a PhD in nuclear physics in 1989. Dave worked for one year at the Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA primarily on development of hardware and software for various spacecraft.

Tom Heitmann (2000) is an Instrument Scientist at the Missouri Research Reactor Center of the University of Missouri where he uses neutron scattering to study magnetism is systems ranging from quantum critical point materials to multiferroics to novel superconductors. He is married to Claire Schmidt and has one baby daughter, Olive (age 9 months).

Dan Trubey-Weller (2009) is currently working at Wells Fargo in downtown San Francisco as a Business Analyst and is finding his degree in physics to be very applicable in the business world. He is also playing bass in a rock band in the East Bay and enjoying all of the fresh seafood that he missed in the Mid-West.
