Cock, Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dennis Friesen-Carper, Chamber Concert Band conducted by Jeffrey Scott Doebler, Women's Choir conducted by Maura Janton Cock and Men's Choir conducted by Christopher M. St. Matthew Passionby Johann Sebastian Bach The monumental St. Matthew Passion is presented by the Bach Institute with guest conductor, Hermann Max, Music Director of the Rheinische Kantorei and Das Kleine Konzert and 2008 Recipient of the Bach Medal, awarded by the city of Leipzig, Germany. Valpo's own Christopher M. Cock will sing the Evangelist, a role for which he is known nationally and internationally. Valpo music faculty member Ralph Klapis will sing the role of Jesus. The Valparaiso University Chorale, Bach Choir, and VU Symphony Orchestra will serve as the performing forces, along with members of the Valpo Music faculty. |
