"Pattern Avoidance in Ternary Trees": Lara Pudwell, Assistant Professor of Mathematics & Computer Science, published her paper "Pattern Avoidance in Ternary Trees" in the Journal of Integer Sequences, volume 15 (2012). This paper was joint work with Nathan Gabriel (Rice University, Katherine Peske (Concordia College), and Samuel Tay (Kenyon college), three undergraduate students who worked under Professor Pudwell's supervision in the 2010 Valparaiso Experience in Research by Undergraduate Mathematicians program.
