- FACULTY ATTEND MATHFEST IN MADISON, WISCONSIN - JULY 30-AUGUST 2.
Sara Crawford, Melissa Desjarlais, Rick Gillman, Ken Luther, Bill Marion, Daniel Maxin, and Lara Pudwell, attended Mathfest in Madison, July 30 through August 2. Sara, Daniel, and Lara, participated in Project NExT, a national faculty development program for new faculty. As part of this program, they networked with 75 other new mathematics faculty from across the country, attended workshops on moving from graduate school to the professoriate, and developing productive work habits. Melissa presented a poster on 'Gender Differences in the AMC 8'. Besides attending sessions, Rick, Ken, and Bill, attended various committee meetings. Rick also co-presented a minicourse on 'A Game Theory Path to Quantatitative Literacy.'
