- RICK GILLMAN ELECTED CHAIR OF THE MATHEMATICAL ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA'S COMMITTEE ON SECTIONS
Rick Gillman's three year term begins after the end of the Joint Mathematics Meetings in Janaury 2009. In this position, which also places him on the executive committee of the MAA, Rick will be responsible for oversight and coordination of the activities of the 29 independent regional sections of the MAA. Valpo is in the Indiana Section. Rick has over 20 years of experience at both the section and national levels of the MAA, having served as section secretary-treasurer, chair, and govenor, as well as a member of national committees on Quantitative Literacy, Membership, and Publications.
