UNIVERSITY MARKETING

The Marketing Division ensures coherence with University strategy, provides collaborative leadership for University planning and goals, maintains a deliberately coordinated approach to consistency of brand message and look, collects and integrates market research into the planning and decision-making processes, and devises communication strategies with broadly shared goals to build reputation and visibility.

The Office of Communications within University Marketing supports these initiatives through the planning and development of print and electronic marketing communications, institutional advertising, and community relations.

Objectives:

  1. Build awareness and visibility of Valparaiso University.
  2. Clarify the distinctions and differentiate Valparaiso University.
  3. Foster greater understanding and knowledge about Valparaiso University.
  4. Respond to external market pressures.
  5. Shape opinion and perspective of Valparaiso University.
  6. Influence behavior of key audiences (enrollment, employment, volunteers, philanthropy).


The University Marketing website is a resource for members of the campus community for obtaining official Valparaiso University graphic standards and messaging guidelines; information about trademark licensing and University policies; and Valpo facts and traditions, talking points, and claims to fame.
