Software

Through an arrangement with Bell Technologies, Valpo students, faculty, and staff may purchase software for personal use at a discounted price through e-academy. A valid ValpoNet login is required to access the store which is located at https://www.valpo.edu/eacademy/. The products available through e-academy are for use on personally-owned equipment only. Currently e-academy offers Microsoft products; additional software is slated to be added in the future. Once purchased, software cannot be returned and refunds cannot be given. Equipment

Many equipment vendors offer discounted prices to students, faculty and staff at educational institutions. The IT department has partnered with Dell and Apple to simplify taking advantage of these discounts when you are purchasing equipment for your personal use. You are not required to use these vendors; you may purchase any equipment you prefer. To purchase Dell or Apple equipment at a discount, follow these links to shop online:

Remember to ask any computer manufacturers if they offer an educational discount. Many do offer such discounts and do not require any special agreement with Valpo.

Loan Program

To make it possible for an increasing number of employees to own a computer, the University has set up a revolving fund to provide loans to full-time employees of the University to purchase computer systems. Please see this page for more information on this policy.
