In an extremely competitive and interconnected world it is important to have the skills necessary to succeed in today’s global environment. Having the necessary leadership skills is often an innate ability that most humans possess early from childhood. However, with proper development anyone can gain the necessary experience and have a base for future leadership development. Through progressive exercises known as team-building one can learn the proper skills to not only be a leader and effectively communicate on many levels but also how to work strongly with others in a team based environment. The focus of these exercises and events is to bring out the best of each individual and to assess each individual’s leadership ability so that future sessions can be tailored to meet the needs of each participant. As the course progresses the exercises will get increasingly more difficult and build upon previous sessions. This concept of leadership through teambuilding is an intensely American concept and exposes each participant to the American business concept of organizational development. While these activities frequently take place in a casual environment they can be taken and used in any manner or environment the participant wishes from the workplace to the home. It is important that today’s global citizens be self-sufficient and progressive minded thinkers and this short program will not only be an assessment and development of leadership skills but will also challenge each individual’s critical thinking and problem solving skills. It is through this short introduction that we hope each participant will gain valuable knowledge that they can take home with them and share with their friends, colleagues, and family members.
