Education:

Bachelor's degree or higher required.

Experience/Skills:

  • Ability to regard differing points of view, to foster consensus, and to embrace the University's new Strategic Plan.

Valparaiso University now invites nominations and applications for the position of, Advancement Operations Coordinator

The Advancement Operations Coordinator will execute a variety of tasks that are crucial to the smooth and efficient operation of the following teams: Donor Relations, Research and Prospect Management, gift Processing, Information Services and Campaign Planning. He/she will provide executive level support including calendar management, travel arrangements for the Executive Director and general administrative support to all Advancement Operations and Campaign Planning programs.

The Coordinator will actively support all Operations and Campaign Planning team budgets and administrative needs. This includes, but is not limited to, special research projects, report creation and data projects for the research and prospect management team, report, recognition and event support for the Donor Relations team, and miscellaneous data maintenance projects for the Information Services team and additional support as needed to maintain campaign materials. The Coordinator will prepare custom and ad hoc reports, spreadsheets, graphs and charts as needed. He/she will create complex documents, reports, correspondence and will proofread and copy-edit documents such as reports, letters, memos, analyses, etc.

The Coordinator will liaise with individuals internal and external to the University. He/she will provide information in response to requests, direct calls and other relevant information to appropriate individuals while using discretion and judgment with confidential information. He/she will perform additional duties as needed.
