The Ministry of the Chapel of the Resurrection, centered in Christ and guided by the Lutheran tradition, transforms its community for service, leadership, and reconciliation in the church and in the world.
All are welcome to join us for worship! There are eight services each week during the academic year.

Our Future in Faith
An effort is under way to renew and enhance the Chapel of the Resurrection, which for half a century has stood as a central symbol of Lutheran character and mission at Valparaiso University.
The Chapel of the Resurrection Fundraising Initiative: Our Future in Faith is an undertaking designed to prepare the chapel for dynamic ministry in the years ahead. According to President Mark A. Heckler, the Chapel of the Resurrection stands "as the centerpiece of campus and the heart of worship, service, leadership, and reconciliation for the campus community."

Please join us for our service of Holy Communion this Sunday morning, Feb. 12th, in the Main Chapel. University Pastor James A. Wetzstein will preach and preside. See our upcoming Sunday schedule for info about the weeks to come.
A memorial service for Spc Christopher Patterson, a sophomore who was killed Jan. 6 while serving with the National Guard in Afghanistan, is planned for 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at the Chapel.
A reminder that Candlelight Evening Prayer is at 10 p.m. Sundays.
Worship isn't just for Sundays! The Chapel offers eight different services a week, including 20 minutes of daily Morning Prayer during Chapel Break.
Celebrate! is offered Wednesdays at 10 p.m. and Candlelight is at 10 p.m. on Sunday evenings when classes are in session.
We are thrilled that the Chapel will be going through a building renovation. The down side is that we will be unable to host weddings for the summer of 2012. The Chapel will be closed down from May 21 until Opening Convocation in August 2012. Find out more about scheduling a wedding by contacting sri.frazee@valpo.edu.
