Christopher Center for Library and Information Resources
Stop by the Christopher Center to register and start your Homecoming and Reunion Weekend experience by picking up event passes and additional information. Reminisce in the Community Room with Mel Doering, university archivist, and browse yearbooks, Torches and other memorabilia. Multi-media historical dis­plays will be available for viewing here and throughout the building. This area is an excellent place to meet up with classmates.

  • Golf Cars
    Friday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
    Saturday: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
    Golf cars will be on hand to provide trans­portation to campus locations for those needing assistance. Check in at the tent in front of the Christopher Center for Library and Information Resources, where a mem­ber of the Student Alumni Associa­tion will be happy to assist you.   • 2008 VUAA Christmas Ornament
    Each year, the VU Alumni Association debuts its annual Christmas ornament during Homecoming and Reunion Week­end. The 2008 VUAA ornament will bear the logo for the university’s 150th anni­versary. Reserve yours now and pick it up at Regis­tration Headquarters. Available ornaments from previous years also may be purchas­ed at Registration Headquarters.

    Celebrate “Our Valpo” by sharing personal stories of your VU experience.     “The Importance of Being Earnest,” by Oscar Wilde, directed by Lee F. Orchard, chair of the department of theatre. VU students, faculty and staff admitted free with VU identification.

    “Domestic Vision: Twenty-Five Years of the Art of Joel Sheesley” and “Hispanic Works from the Brauer Museum’s Permanent Col­lec­tion” will be displayed. Admission is free.

      Enjoy a ride through campus and take in all the changes and progress since your time at Valpo.       Led by Jeff Hazewinkel, director of the VU Center for the Arts. Tour will depart from the Duesenberg Recital Hall.

      Fred Plant, executive director for facilities management, will share the future vision for the VU campus.

    Prospective graduate students are invited to learn about Valpo's graduate programs. Meet current students and faculty, take a tour of campus, or sit in on a class. Program directors will be present at 12:30 p.m., and remarks from Dean David Rowland will take place at 2 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

    Doors will open at 9 p.m. for pre-event activities. At 10 p.m. the teams with be introduced. The event will include a three point contest between members of our men's and women's basketball teams versus students, a dunk contest, and an autograph session after the event.
