There is no charge to attend, but please bring a dish (salad, vegetable, fruit, or dessert) to share. A main dish, beverages, and utensils will be provided. Feel free to bring sporting equipment to share.
Directions to the Valpo Picnic:
From I-495 and Connecticut Avenue: Take Connecticut Avenue south 4 miles to Tilden Street. Turn left (east) onto Tilden Street and continue one-half mile to Picnic Grove #1, on your right. Turn right into the parking lot for the picnic grove. The picnic grove is across the street from Pierce Mill and just before the bridge over Rock Creek.
From Virginia and Downtown Washington, D.C.: Take Connecticut Avenue north three-fourths of a mile to Tilden Street. Turn right (east) onto Tilden Street and continue one-half mile to Picnic Grove #1, on your right. Turn right into the parking lot for the picnic grove. The picnic grove is across the street from Pierce Mill and just before the bridge over Rock Creek.
