Students come from most states and more than 50 countries. They bring with them a strong work ethic, having done well in secondary school coursework while involved in various extracurricular activities. Valpo attracts thinkers, contributors, and leaders. Valpo students seek preparation for their roles after college — in their employment, church, home life and community. Faculty mentors include prize-winning authors and business professionals, engineers and nurses, ministers and lawyers, journalists and doctors. Approximately 90 percent of the full-time faculty hold doctorates or terminal degrees in their fields. They come together at Valpo from various backgrounds, with the sole purpose of sharing their knowledge with students who are ready to be challenged and willing to question.
