Valpo ranked second among Midwest regional institutions for Best Value, according to the 2011 U.S. News & World Report ratings.

Also, Valpo placed tied for fourth in the ranking of Best Regional Universities in the Midwest.

Valpo is among the institutions of higher education featured in the new edition of "The Best 376 Colleges," published by the Princeton Review and released in August 2011. About 15 percent of four-year colleges and universities in the United States are listed. Valpo is recognized for offering a comprehensive educational experience that inspires students to create meaningful change as leaders in their professional and personal lives.

Also, Washington Monthly annually recognizes Valpo for its commitment to service. The University ranked tied for 11th in the 2011 rankings among master’s-level institutions, cited for students’ participation in service activities, as well as criteria related to research, graduation rate, and other factors.
